Can someone point me to a thread with pics of a lcd with backlight problems? I don't think I have an issue. I just notice that on a totally black background, there is sort of a glow, but I think that is just because it is an lcd.

I think anyway... I need some screens to compare.

I recently got a viewsonic vp912b.

I am thinking about maybe getting this monitor but have a few questions. Hopefully, some of you might have some answers.

I appoligize for the double post but I think this forum might be better suited to get me some answers.

I just do not get it. The only review for the dell 2405fpw is from extremetech and it is good but not "crazy good".

To top it off, it is a 24" monitor which means that most, if not all video cards, cannot run this well it it's native resolution.

Yes, it is widescreen but there are not many games you can run on widescreen.

I know the price is GREAT right now but what am I missing?

What good is an huge monitor if you cannot run games well on it and many games will have to be cropped because they are not widescreen?

Is it's picture quality so amazing? I recently got a veiwsonic vp912b and with all the excitment I almost want to buy one but I cannot figure out why

Ok here is a news i called this any guy but the last 4 digit extension is not working and then i talked to the Dell People about this and they said they don;t know any Andy, or there is not promotion like that any where in US. So looks like some body is getting credit card numbers?
Please every body make sure you are ordering with Dell, and please tell me any body recieved this Monitor Yet.

1) Do you have any idea how many Andys probably work for Dell?
2) This Andy is not in the US. He works for wipro. Dell outsources to wipro in India.
3) Orders for htis have already started arriving, and appear on the Dell website.

Wasn't it just a little risky sending all your credit card info in a single UNSECURE email...?

If I have to use email for credit card info, I ALWAYS send two emails with only half the number in each message...

The monitor is sweet for movies and pictures and totall great for surfinh but the gaming experience is a little lacking until i upgrade. I've got a Barton3200+ and a 6800 ultra with 1gig of ram and i'm not getting the speed i was used to - i'll be trying it out with my xbox later today

The main thing is the change in resolution going from 1280X1024 to 1900X1200 is going to tax even the newset systems - going from 80+fps to 30fps is something thats hard to get used to.
