deal dead

check the specs -- the dimensions, watts, and features is identical to the dtt2500 -- super price

note -- spdif is not optical

Hey poppagene, I have creative audigy card which has a mini-jack SPDIF-output. This speaker only accept RCA SPDIF input. Any idea on how to hook it up? Anyone who have tried it before, please give me a suggestion

from the picture, i believe that is the older version of desktop 5.1, the version before the dtt2500, it has all white speaker and a plastic sub woofer, compare to dtt2500 which has all black speakers and also a wood case sub woofer. but I think the controller box are basically the same

the dtt 2500 ( not the ones this guys talking about) come with a minijack sp dif to coaxial connecter . i am sure there no funky conversion involved, just re wiring. i would tell you how buy i gave m speakers to my parents when i visited them last time

These arent the dtt2500s but rather the "first generation" of creative 5.1 speakers. The satelites are much smaller and weaker and the sub is also weaker. Nice thing about them is that there is a decoder box. Other than that they are pretty weak.

<< how do these compare to Klipsch or z560s? >>

They dont 😉

These either blow or suck.
These do not go anywhere near the Logitech Z560's / Klipsch. These are like the old altec lansing speakers. SKIP.

The title of this thread really ought to be fixed. These are not the DTT2500s and they pale in comparison. It's just like PC Works vs. Soundworks Digital, except in 5.1 format.

My bad -- no digital din afik. However these other specs are identical -- power , size and the subwoofer is wood
