Can't find a single review on this. Average to good price on the net before shipping is around $40 - $45.

this is a "Network Everywhere Cable DSL Router 4-Port 10/100 Switch" Not their more popular line of Etherfast Switches.

UPC: 00745883553211
Dimensions 9.75" x 2.75" x 6.25"
Weight: 2.6 lbs

and finally a
link.

Here is a link to a review, although it is the only one there.

Hope this helps. Does anyone have this Router, and can give us some experience heads up about it?

Try THIS..

I am very satisfied with my Netgear RT-314 (back when they would PAY us to take them, after MIR), but would like one that will allow be to limit the hours certain users can access the internet (teenagers). Any suggestions?

Well, this looks like a pretty great deal to me.... it is 10/100 with a built in firewall from a good company for only 30$... with no rebates to deal with... I cant see why to hesitate...

but I am considering getting a router with a print server... any good deals on one lately? I hate that I need to have my computer on for my wife to print

I did the Office Depot deal:

49.99 + 1.99 Pens - 15% - 10 MIR = $33.35 + Tax

Very damn hot. I already had this router but I'm buying it for my girlfriend. I paid $69.00 off of an anandtech hot deal 1 year ago.

Because the BEFSR41 4-Port Cable/DSL Router is known as a great performance router.

My home network using a Linksys BEFSR41 4-Port Cable/DSL Router with Verizon DSL and file and printer sharing started having internet connect/disconnect problems. Due to the popularity of the Linksys BEFSR41 the fix was discussed in DSL Reports forums long before Verizon or Linksys support posted the same fixes. Check DSLR HWR forums prior to purchase to see what problems users face with features attractive to a new buyer.
A DLink704P(print server with slower data transfer rates) didn't support the networked printer so printer sharing was restored to this home network.
Hope Network Everywhere TOLL phone only support is a lot better than Linksys support's early days.

yes, the header of this thread seems to be wrong, it is not a linksys product. The one I got was linksys.

This is a very proven product and I've had only slight firewall problems with it.

It is a Linksys...Just not the Etherfast line (blue ones) that we are all familiar with...

From Compusa.com
*********************

CompUSA Price: $29.99
after rebate(s)*

Its a good deal, but as others have said...See if you can find reviews for it, it may have different features than the BEFSR41

it is still in stock, in stores near me and on the web

I think this looks like a good deal, and if it had a print server I would do it for sure..............

Well, I just went to my local CompUSA here (Queens, NY) and picked up one of these. They had a ton left on the shelves. Total came out to $32.46 after tax. Great price!

I won't set the thing up until tomorrow night, so I can't say anything about the features/performance yet. The router itself is tiny: 5.5" L x 4" D x 1" H. It kind of looks like Netgear's routers with its metal casing (nice plus).

Oh, and for anyone still doubting, it IS indeed made by Linksys. Says so right on the packaging and the router itself. :)

It might be just me, but did anyone else who picked up this router notice it was a little on the heavy side? I've bought the Linksys Etherfast, Belkin, and D-Link routers and none of them were this heavy. I wonder if it's solid steel or what. =D
