Deadwood

Fine entertainment!

It has all the essential elements... hookers, violence, and comedy, and hookers. 🙂

I liked it better last year. I don't know what happened but it seems I can't understand a fcking thing they are talking about on the show anymore. I don't think they used such heavy dialect/vocabulary last year. oh well

I had to watch this week's a couple of times to catch everything, but it made sense.

i voted meh.

i have been watching it on DVD and i enjoyed it at first, but it really seems to be slowing down. i stopped in the middle of the episode where the guy is on trial for killing Bill (i think thats his name, the 'famous' guy with the long white hair). it just was very slow and i felt like doing something else.

havent put it bacfk in since, and that was about 3 weeks ago.

EDIT: my favorite character is DEFINITELY the owner of the main saloon, the one who is pretty evil and uses cvnt and cocksvcker every other word ...

he's great.

I just bought the first season and I'm going through it again, while keeping up with the new ones. Great entertainment.

..I saw a collectors package of dvd's at costco. I guess it must be the first season. I like westerns..should I get it??

Deadwood rocks.... Al Swearengen is one of the best characters ever. I love the scene in season one when Mr Wu was trying to describe to Swearengen who robbed and killed his dope courier. That was hilarious

I'm having some trouble with that too. Seems like a miss one line and I'm screwed for the whole scene.

My mind also starts wandering when Swearingen has extended soliloquies while a whore's head is bobbing up and down in his lap 😀

They're not sure which state will annex Deadwood, as it's technically not official US Territory yet. Swearengen isn't sure if Bullock being a former marshall from Montana will influence the decision either way. Bascially, Al isn't sure which outcome would help him the best and if he should kill Bullock to force an outcome.

i thought Al had made some deal and paid some bribes to get rid of murder charges against him for the purposes of being a part of the government being formed.

and how would bullock have any influence? is he well connected?

I don't think it was Bullock trying to influence them, I think it was more that Bullock being from Montana would influence their decision. I think it was that Montana saw him as a "stand up" guy and would be more likely to push for him to have power. Whether or not this would help Al was was Al was considering.
