I only caugt a bit of an episode, but what I saw was really interesting. I haven't seen any episodes available anywhere for download. Thought I'd check to see if anyone else has. I'd like to see it from the beginning of the series.

Thanks.

I think there are six in total. That show seems to hit it right on the nose. I live in Alaska, and I've known quite a few people over the years to go do that job -- thankfully most of them came back alive. It certainly takes a tuff person to do that kind of work, but some people around here absolutely live for it.

It can be a very good job. Once you get past "greenhorn" it isn't as bad, but still very dangerous.

Alot of money for less then 7 days... of course you are betting your life too.

is that the one about those deep see divers where 1 out of 3 drown. jobs that no one wants to do get a lot of money

There were a total of 10 episodes, most of them pretty interesting. The deckhands for the top boat made $27,500 each. :Q

Wow, can they really make ~$140k in just a few days? Nice!

Supposedly the days of big paydays like that are over, since now everything is supposed to be figured on a quota based off of the previous season's catch.

well the jobs i saw on tv were these guys that maintain the wires that connect nations. they had to like spend 24 hours in a compression chamber before they are lowered into the abyss and they decompress another 24 hours before they can be let out.

these guys are tough, working 10,000,000 miles below see level and on top of that they have to dodge mutant sharks and colossal squid creatures. I think 1/3 gets eaten by the sea creatures. they deserve bill gates salary

Not as tough as those explorers who found a giant sphere on the bottom of the ocean.

I wander into this thread and I have NO FVCKING IDEA what this show is about?!? Mutant sharks? Wires connecting nations? $140,000 for a few days work? WTF? Explanation?

I thought this was *supposed* to be about crab-fishing in Alaska.
