There are several recordings on there that were done at a place I used to work several years ago in Austin, Tx. The quality wasn't bad from what I remember.

Harper College if I remember correctly. 1/2 acoustic 1/2 electric.
One of the best shows ever.

Sign up at eTree.org. They always send out too many Dead shows. I only signed up, for the once in a while Primus/Pearl Jam/other random shows.

Unfortunately archive.org no longer allows downloads of the GD. You can only stream their shows. There are a number of shows that make it to bt.etree.org which can be downloaded via BitTorrent. There are quite a few shows available for download at gdlive.com. You might try downloading a couple of shows from each year or so and see what you like best. The chemistry of the band changed with the coming and going of various members. My favorite show was 4-11-78 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta only because I was there. A number of Deadheads didn't care for the band with Donna Godcheaux singing. Actually when she could hear herself singing she wasn't that bad. She made for some nice eye candy as well.

Stuff gets uploaded constantly. People are always cleaning up lost dates, & releasing them for the first time. I'm sure whatever new & popular will eventually make it's way to archive, but sometimes those torrents die down too quickly. The email usually consists of mostly GDead, but does include some artist that allow taping. Alot of the side bands associated with the Dead as well.
