Doesn't say if it's refurbished but has RB in the title, and the one without RB is $213.99, so I assume it is.

This is a great receiver - they also appear to have "non RB" (?) models for about $200.. either would be a good deal!
 
Is it possible to contact uBid to find out if RB does infact mean refurb? I'd assume it does, but its such a good price on that receiver, its tempting.

(I don't know how uBid works, so i don't know if contacting them is possible)
 
Hmm...I just got a Pioneer VSX-D711 from CC for $179.. I'm wondering if I should return it and get the Yamaha? Save about $50 or so..
 
This is so tempting... but Ubid doesn't seem to be an authorized reseller, and I'd like to get an extended warranty if it's a refurb 🙁

Plus, Ubid has pretty bad reviews on reseller ratings...
 
Refurb or not this kicks arse! Yamaha makes a great receiver and for less that $130 shipped? This is insane. Would want some sort of warranty though. Even 90 days would be nice. Anyone know if it has one?
 
Anyone get their order confirmations yet for either one, RB or New?

I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to ubid and a $2.49 ground shipping clause.

That Pioneer advertised at CC is not a good deal at all (spotted at techbargains).

Online it goes for 129 and barely has any optical inputs, and certainly no Svideo/Component switching control which the 5550 has.

Anyone know how long it takes uBid to ship ?

I ordered Thurs afternoon and it still hasn't shipped yet (did get an order confirmation and it shows in process on the website).....
