Looks like a nice deal, I still don't get how they sell the XPS systems with an x300 SE in them though, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the line?

The 9150 was $1199 with a 24" monitor awhile back. Only differences were less RAM (512), a CD-RW instead of DVD-RW, no media reader, no TV tuner, and XP Home. I might've missed something though.

Check out the outlet. They're offering ~$350 off the xps400.

They had one in there with a 7800GTX and TV Tuner for <$1000

its probably because they bought alienware. i see the xps's as more of a high end home pc.

xps used to be for gaming, now only xps 600 and their inspiron xps m170 are for gaming. they're using the xps lingo for generally their high end desktops. they're pretty much the old dimension line
