Yes, just make sure your board BIOS supports the Xeon, and more specifically, the Haswell refresh version(s) of processors.

If you're running your own video card (many here are), this is hot...hot...hot.

I really want one but don't need it and am already building a new HTPC and just bought a low power (35W) Core I5. Still having a hard time passing this up (but am for right now! )

I have this CPU and it's outstanding. Keeps my GTX 970 fed at 100% GPU usage in all my games and always runs at the 3.6GHz all cores turbo or higher (I selected the Performance profile in Windows) at low temperature and voltage.
