You don't have to spend more than MSRP to get it. Just head over to Compusa. But it is like paying more than MSRP, because of the tax.

If your card has shipped and you wanted to cancel it, I might consider taking it off your hands for you.

I'd advise against buy.com. I once made an order through them, printed out the "thanks for your order, print this for your records" page, etc... waited, waited, waited.. and never got my merchandise. In their defense, they also never charged my credit card... but still, wtf? Also, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is, and imo a $330 6800gt is too good to be true.

The fedex guy was just here with mine. My CC has not been charged,I didn't get an email saying it was shipping and the web account still says "sent to warehouse "???????
What I don't like about it most is I'm not sure they won't try an charge me the non-sale price with out giving me the chance to cancel the order.

Umm, long ago in early 2K1, I came across an item titled cryptically at Buy.com's website. It looked like a rare Super Nintendo item, so I inquired if it was what I thought it was. They sent me a form letter saying they only carried Dreamcast, PSX, PS2 and N64 items. I knew that it had to be wrong even though the description was a vague as possible. I ordered one just to be sure before I ordered a ton. It was exactly what I thought it was! I opened it and kept it as my personal unit and promptly placed an order for five more... They never arrived and they never charged my credit card but I have not canceled the transaction just in case they ever find more. This did not alarm me. I logged back in to change my email address so I too could get a 10%-off coupon and was pleased to find my order still there waiting. What's so scary about that?

Beware.... Buy.com will label a sale as "Sent to Warehouse" when in fact it is actually BACKORDERED.

I had this happen recently with a KVM swich deal from them.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but don't hold your breath on a "Sent to Warehouse" order.

I received my card from buy.com today. Must have shipped friday cause i had 2 day shipping. I received no email saying it had shipped, and even got one yesterday saying the card was still on order.

So heads up, the cards are shipping

the day came and went, i still haven't recieved anything, still "on order", called yesterday and was told none had shipped, and i would be part of the first batch (blatantly lied to) .............. still holding out some hope that i'll get my card in time for Doom III, but am beginning to doubt it.

Just a guess but, if it works the same as with me.... You'll get the card at your doorstep before any email, and before your buy.com order page gets updated with a tracking #.

So if your getting backordered emails, and are looking in despair at your 'on order' account page try to cheer up, it means nothing and your card is probably on the way.

Mine shipped friday, 2 day shipping arrived today. If ya went normal ground shipping thats upto 7 days so count up from friday and cross your fingers

Most likely around 3 or 4 PM. I'm not to much in a rush since if I get this my x800 Pro will be for sale...

Right now that is holding me over... Time will tell. Kinda strange how people are getting cards with no mail notification and such.

Anyone else notice that the PNY 6800 GT (for $449.99 now! oh, but you do get _free_ shipping!) is showing up as `In Stock: Usually ships in 1 to 2 business days.'?

My order status still shows as `On Order', I haven't gotten any e-mails and my card hasn't been charged. Then again, people are saying that they got their card before any of that happened, so who knows. buy.com sure is one hell of a strange company.
