I was able to finish the order just a few minutes ago, even though I put it in my card yesterday. Total was like $336 with shipping.

6 months from now when people are buying them off the shelf for $300 i'll be already played with mine the whole time lol

No doubt. If manufacturers could actually produce these cards in large enough quantities, they'd make a fortune!

I don't understand the problem with the rollout on these cards. Previous generations, like the 9800/9600xt, had the usual process of press release, select hardware site reviews, estimated ship date, a few cards start to show, and very quickly there's plenty for everyone.

Seems like forever that I've been looking for these 6800s. A few come in and are gone immediately. Called BB today just out of curiosity to see if they had the word on when they would have them on the self, but the sales guy had no information about when they might be coming.

Do you think they're having production problems? Shortage on components?

Pny site isn't much help either. Verto page say "Pre-Order". Detail page say "Now available!" but when you click on "Buy" you get another "Pre-order Special" description.

It does say "Shipping Early July", though, so maybe buy.com can ship by the end of the week, or early next week.

New hardware is such fun...

Hmmm, I just check my Buy.com order email. My 10% discount did not get applied. And says total of 336 bucks. You know the email after you buy something they send you a thanks, Not thank you email.

But my receipt says 303. Just checked it. and the order printout says 303 even tho it's still being sent to the warehouse.

Should I be worried? I took a screen shot just in case. Visa will have fun with this one IF it has to come to this...?

I guess I could call them to confirm on what they plan on charging me if it ships. Anyone else get the same results?

You're right! I thought it was $303.36 but I guess that was just the web site order history. Thanks for alerting me. Yes, you should be concerned and so am I. I will call them as soon as it is a reasonable time of day to do so. They have the on-line history so it shouldn't be a problem, but even if they say "oh, don't worry about that" I'm going to check my credit card for the actual charge.

Anyone have a 10% off coupon they're not going to use that could PM me the link? I've been a long-time customer of buy.com and they didn't send me the coupon this time around : ( I emailed their customer service and they said the mailing is random and that they couldn't help me.

I called buy.com (btw, I didn't find their number on their site - had to google for it: 1-800-800-0800). The CSR pulled up my order and confirmed that the amount on the order record was $303.36 which he said is what would be billed.

He had no idea why the email didn't reflect this amount, and, of course, had no idea when the cards would be in stock.
