Just looked over the OfficeMax ad, they have a 50 pack of 16x DVD-R or DVD+R for $13.99. These are MCC media. If you missed these disks with the 40% shopping bag last week, $14 still isn't bad for good media.

Note that the image in the email says $14.99, but once I view the ad, it says $13.99.

Online limit is 1. Presumably same will apply in store so be sure to bring a disguise or something ;)

Or go to bestbuy instead, pay the extra $1 per unit and back up your car to the loading dock. :D

Christ on a bike, $7.95 shipping?! BB only charges $5.95. OM will ship $50 of merchandise for free so I suppose if you can use one + and one - and need some other schtuff it could work out but meh.

-
They do have 10-pk DL for $19.99.

Anybody have an idea what the quality of these are compared to the HP DVD +/_R's that are on sale at Staples for the same price?

Picked up a pack of -Rs. MediaID is MCC 03RG20. Total was ~$16 after tax. They did ring up as $14.99 and not $13.99. Still a really good deal on excellent quality media!

When you guys are saying quality scores, do you mean via Nero's CD-DVD Speed? If so, are you doing the Disc Quality tab, and are you doing it as a quick scan or full scan?

I was able to buy two packs without any problems at my local OfficeMax. What code do you get for real Verbatim Disks? I am getting MCC 03RG20.

Yes, it's true. Verbatim has started buying from other companies to fill supply.

I saw this on cdfreaks as well.

 Jawo - I bought 3-50 packs of the +R discs and they come out as MMC 004's with CD Identifier. I might pick up a couple more if I can get over there while they're available. I was going to buy 100 16x TY's, but these are at least $10 less (over $20 less if you include shipping) and I don't have to wait a week. Good discs at a great price.

:D Just returned from a visit to the Cambridge, MA Microcenter where they had these same Verbatim discs on sale for $39.99 per pack of 50 cakebox (!).
