Asus X551MA 15.6'' Laptop

No HDMI, no Bluetooth, no Gig Ethernet. Says "HD display" but I'm not sure what that means, as they don't list the screen resolution.

Maybe attractive if you have Staples rewards to burn and a Grammy jonesing for a lappy.

Very similar or perhaps nearly the same laptop is ~$220 at Micro Center.

That's an Atom CPU, btw, which doesn't have the ST performance of the Intel Core-based Celerons.

better off getting a refurb from Lenovo outlet.

Had a terrible recent experience with a refurb from Lenovo outlet. Laptop arrived, was in clean shape.... but had problems right out of the box. BSODs & lockups before I even installed any additional software. Called support, they told me to do one key recovery. After doing recovery, laptop was stuck on installing apps screen for hours and then the problems persisted. Support narrowed it down to a software problem, and since it doesn't fall under warranty, they wanted to charge me $$$ to troubleshoot it. I said no thanks and asked for a refund.

I'd rather buy a new $230 laptop from MC than an iffy refurb.

Got one of these last month at Staples (managers special) as a gift. Office Depot also had the same price that time. Couldn't use a 20% off Staples coupon since laptops were excluded. $272 after tax.
