Start->Run: diskmgmt.msc

i just received my laptop case from shinza for my 6000. i'd recommend it to everybody. the sleeve fit pretty well, except it has a bit of room in front cus i got the large size. all the review said it holds up very well and after using it, i must agree too.

sorry to be a little bit off topic, but i need some help

i got the inspiron 6000 with x300 128mb and 256mb RAM(thanks to this thread), and formatted it. Installed XP pro SP2. However, i noticed a significant drop on my 3dmark score (before format - 2495; after format - 1019). What gives? Please help. I have google search to no avail. Thanks all.:(

Make sure you install the latest chipset drivers for the board (agp, ide, etc) as I'm almost positive this is why your scores are lower. When I formatted my desktop, this was the case as well and as soon as I updated the chipset, scores were back to normal.

Where do you find the latest drivers?

Dell support page - just enter in your express #

Go to www.intel.com, and download your respective chipset driver (Mobile Pentium M). It worked for me

Yeah, it's got the recovery BS in there. Make sure you burn a Windows CD using the Dell prorgram, then blow that crap away & do a clean install.

How would I burn a Windows CD using the Dell programs?
