I think it all depends on what you ordered.
The 6000 that I ordered has a CD-RW/DVD it said that this item may delay shipping date.

The configuration and model that you ordered will have a bearing on when it will be shipped.

Yea that is screwed up of dell, I didnt have shipping on my purchase when I went to check out price but now it is in my email saying that I was charged it.

For those not having their order show up, I ordered 2 yesterday morning -- first got the ACK and CON in minutes, second (8:24am CST) go the ACK with the totals cut off and no CON. So I decided to be safe and call --- 3 disconnects and 3.5 hours later I talked to some woman, a nice woman, but English and Typing did not seem to be her strongest suits, that aside - there was a problem with my order and it was basically lost in space. She did retrieve the quote wth the coupon applied (she never mentioned it was expired by then and I didn't bring it up). I gave her my payment info and it was back in the system. Needless to say, still in phase 1.

So, if you never received a confirmation, I'd adivse you to call. If I hadn't, I would not have a system on its way.

so i settled on the 50 bucks concession 🙁

Same here. It's still boxing, and has been boxing since last night. Is Dell out of cardboard?
 
I ordered a 6000 at 6:01 PT

No shipping on 852 other wise I would of just upgraded to 9bills but I did have to pay tax so it made 907

Wierd though cause mine was checked to testing yesterday and now today it is only In production-not kitting, ect-maybe it didn't test so good?
 
well i got my order conf. this morning (4:11am CST). Hasn't gone past Order Conf. yet, but my total before tax was $842 and I did not get charged shipping. Lucky me =)
 
Maybe Dell ran out of boxes? 😛

It is not uncommon for an order to sit in boxing for 5 days or more...I have one in boxing since Monday.
 
No way dell would run out of boxes. Dell is a Top 5 Fortune 500 company, boxes are probably planned years in advanced. heh. Dell would never let anything ruin their flow. They are efficiency maniacs.

Dell wasn't too efficent with my order. I placed my order last Friday. It was all built and ready in the "boxing" stage since Sunday night. It finally got shipped today. Does it really take four days to "box" a complete system? :roll:

nope. my order was less than $899. I first called to upgrade my order to meet the $899 threshold. they told me F U. so I emailed that I would cancel my order unless the $49 was removed, and they dropped the shipping charge and upgraded me to next day shipping.

now I'm just hoping for bragging rights to first delivered! :thumbsup:
