DEAD w/10,000 orders in 48 mins... $750 off $1499+ Inspiron

Just a heads up to all those who used a big bucks coupon in addition to the $750 off, dell said they would catch it when reviewing the orders. This could just be their BS excuse as to why they wouldn't let me use mine, but I thought I'd let everyone who "got away" with using theirs this morning know.

I dont think so Warder. I think it's the 12pipe version. Still the best card you'll get in a laptop under $2000.

Thanks, I just noticed that the XPS v2 does say it's an Ultra so the 9300 must only be a normal one. Did anyone figure out if you could use this coupon on the XPS system?

How can you find out where tax is and is not charged?? Thanks!

Dell Home sales tax

The amount of tax and shipping added to your order depends on where you have asked for the product to be shipped as well as on which products you've chosen to purchase. Dell Catalog Sales LP currently collects applicable sales tax in California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. In other states, the purchaser is responsible for remitting the use tax on all taxable items to the appropriate state tax authorities. Dell does collect sales tax for On-Site Service contracts in all states.

that would suck.

I dunno, I read the details of the big bucks coupon and I didn't see anything about cannot be used with any other offer or whatever...but then again I could have missed it easily.

Think about it. Dell just received AT LEAST $7,500,000 in 48 minutes.

Insane.

I can assure you they pulled the plug off it before it got to that number ..

No, 10000 x at least $750 is $7,500,000...so they did at least get that.

Anybody's orders in production yet (or shipped)?

Not yet. It's only been 7 hours dood 😛

My Dimension 8400 deal order earlier this week was In Production about 5 hours after the order was placed. Then again, that was probably the fastest I've ever seen them move.

Mine's been built, tested, now just needs to be boxed.
Inspiron 6000
1.6GHz
512MB
30GB (Replacing with 60GB Hitachi 7200RPM)
WSXGA+
64MB ATI X300
DVD+-RW
9 Cell Battery

yea, I don't bother posting there anymore... that and the deals move so quickly and get flooded by noobs asking all the same questions over and over and over and over....

Over the past 3+ years, ATHD is a much better place (AT as a whole (sans OT)), tho I have been mulling over a gottadeal account too since I look it over everyday anyway...

If you missed it because of school, or work for a qualifying place. you're probably eligible for the EPP $750 of $1499 coupon, which seems to still be going.

So who ordered at 8am and have not received any email after the "acknowledgment" email?

I'm a little worried b/c I used a Dell Big Buck Coupon ($30 off $399) on top of the $750 and I'm scared they are gonna cancel my order b/c of that.

I've only received the Ack. email, nothing more.
