Wow, color me very impressed. Got mine today and played some PS3 demos. The difference between it and the TV's speakers is massive, very much night & day. The bass is relatively weak, but that's expected. Vizio did it right. They focused on what this enclosure is best suited for: mid-range and highs while giving the option to add a sub for bass.

I'm an audiophile (albeit, a poor one) so I honestly wasn't expecting much from a sound bar, especially one so cheap (and Vizio). It's no replacement for my 2030's, but $60 for this kind of SQ is a very good deal. Hell, $100 would still be pretty good. My cousin will be pleased. 🙂

Course there are some negatives. The remote is picky where you point it. I'll probably try removing the foam behind the grill to improve things as others suggested. Also the bar blocks my TV's remote sensor so I can't use it unless I raise my hand a bit higher. Course some books or something to raise the TV higher would solve this.

No, but it too can be wall mounted by reversing the stands. It also has a sub pre-out so you can attach any powered sub to it.

I can't seem to find where the sub would plug into this thing. I could take the sub from my existing 5.1 setup and use it with this if it does have the pre-out

TD has the wrong pic. This is it.

The remote that came with mine is very difficult to make work -- have to press the flat contacts with fingernails to get it to respond, and haven't found a reliable way to point it that will work. Replaced the battery to make sure it wasn't that, and still had problems with it.

Just sprung for a Logitech Harmony 700 so I won't have to use the flimsy Vizio remote...

On the plus side, it's a huge improvement in sound quality from our TV's built-in speakers. Dialog is much clearer, the sound field is better overall, though nothing like high-end audio equipment would give, of course.

For the money, I'm quite happy with this.

think code is no longer applicable.

update. got one anyways.. seems like not a bad deall.thx op!

TigerDirect is selling these through Ebay link removed for $55, free shipping.

I saw it on SlickDeals last night, so I picked one up. Had to pay NC tax, but still not too bad for ~$58 shipped.

EDIT: Wow, the listing ended literally right after I posted the link. I clicked the link here to make sure it worked and it had the listed ended message. So nevermind I guess 🙁

I don't have that issue, only that it's not reliable at all if too far away. Even closer it kinda sucks.

I tried removing the foam and it didn't really help. Removing the grill did though. May have to get a cheap Harmony remote if nothing else. Like this.

the only that sucks is a 10 year old 5.1 system will decimate this all to heck and cost $20 on CL used. old sony htib i'm talking.

without any integration though. what folks want from a sound bar is seamless integration with the tv. though it is true sound bars are ridiculously overpriced, like 30 dollars of speakers cost 200 once they are done.

DEAL IS BACK or never really died.

Can't post the link but its from fleabay thru Tigerdirect for $55 shipped.

Search Vizio VSB200 HD Sound Bar

Sort by shipping and price cheapest.

Comes up on top.

$54.99

I completely ignored this then after a few people commented I finally followed through on the link to see why. I saw it as a cheap speaker for those lacking on lcd panels but now I'm disappointed I didn't buy one after seeing it.
