Don't forget the BB 10% off coupon card in the USPS moving package. I think the coupon is online at USPS but I don't have a link.

The card does HD audio through DVI! w00t! That was a bonus for me as well and it doesn't need a cable to connect via a spdif cable.

scored 1 for $107 after Coupon+GC

$129 - $13(10% RZ coupon) - $20 GC (for applying for RZ Mastercard)

My Bestbuy is running a instore credit application for GC promotions

1st promo: Apply for Rewardzone Mastercard and get a instant $20 giftcard for getting approved

2nd promo: Apply for a Bestbuy Credit card and get $20 GC by mail in 4-6 weeks (requires approval and 1 purchase)

Suprisingly, both BBs near me had atleast 4 instock.

Would this work with a hybrid Xfire s775 mb running XP ? if so what would be the best MOBO?

Great deal.....Picked 1 up and used a 10% off coupon. Total came out to 116 +tax.
Time to retire my X800XL, which has served me soooo well. I actually paid a lot more for my X800xl than this card.

Wonder if you could crossfire this with the new 48XX series that will be out soon.

You should be able to crossfire this with the 48XX series... since they both will be able to implement Crossfire-X. I would think about "stepping up" to the 4850 by itself though since it should be out in <3 weeks, and you have 30 days to return your 3870...

OMG I have a Best Buy GC for around $77... if I can find a 10% off coupon and two in my local store... just got an MSI P35 chipset board that can do Crossfire, plus DFI's micro ATX P45 chipset Crossfire board is coming closer to being reality. pic & specs

I'd have to hide this purchase from my co-workers though.

cc had the visiontek 3870 for the same price... i couldn't resist... the package was much plainer than the one at bb... what is the clock on the bb one? the one i got has a zalman 7000 type heatpipe in copper with full ram coverage... stock clocks are 800/1170 and it oc's with overdrive to 880/1380...

atitray 2.09 doesn't seem to recognize the card... can't see the clocks...

The binary blob drivers are almost as good an nVidia's. The opensource driver does 2d pretty good, it's gonna be a year or two before it's a feature complete 3d driver. But like I said, last I tried the binary blob drivers are back up to about as good as nVidia.

Not well....not very well at all.

Still fairly glitchy. Can't use WINE for games. Pretty disappointing overall. Hopefully they'll get better as the year goes on.

But, this card is supported by the new open source driver, and those might be better than fglrx, but I wouldn't know.
