My screen was flickering and I could hear it making strange electrical noises and then it went black all of a sudden. So I hit the reset button and it loaded to windows, the place where I put in my name and password and goes black. It basically goes back every time I try to turn on my PC now.

Do you guys think it's a dead video card?

What is your power supply and what card do you have? All your details would be nice please.

Strange, I've had the PC for 3 years almost.

Video Card is 7870 and Power Supply is a Seasonoic 650 gold plus. I just recently moved so maybe something is loose? I just tried again and the computer will boot the Account Login screen and go all black once on that screen.

Okay, I tried a video card from a different computer and it does the same thing. Sounds like a dead power supply maybe?

Try a new monitor cable - HDMI - DVI - VGA - whatever you are using.

Do you have another PSU laying around you could use to test? Or another monitor as well?
