i have a kingston datatraveller 2gb usb memory stick and it is not working. when i plug it into

my computer the computer doesn't read it, the little light in it blinks once in awhile but nothing

happens!! i am told that i have to open it up and hold the little metal prongs down on the chip

for a secure connection, plug it in then when i am holding down on the prongs, the PC will pick

up the drive. is there another way or is this the only way? i am having a hard time opening

my usb thats why i am looking for another way!

HELP ME!
