In for 1 with 10% bing.
One of the reviewers said that the 5 port switch had larger jumbo frames. Anyone think that will make a difference?

How did you get the bing cash back? I don't see newegg as one of their cash back stores.

i think newegg's bing cb is down at the moment.. normally you just goto bing.com and search for newegg. it'll show 10% cashback link on the right side.

I bought and received this switch. But now confused. I have a 5 port wireless router in my basement. All 5 ports are used. I bought this Trend switch for my bedroom office upstairs. I intended to plug the ethernet cable from my basement router into this trend switch in my upstairs office and then connect three computers to the trend switch. Instructions say this does not share internet access??? What do I need it for then??

Confused in Chicago. Appreciate help and guidance.

What you intend to do by plugging your switch into your 5 port router will work fine.
I'm sure what it means by "does not share internet access" is that the switch is not a router and doesnt perform NAT translations, etc, that a router does.

Yep, do that. The switch *BY ITSELF* cannot share internet access, but that's what your router does. The switch just expands the number of physical connections the router has.
