DEAD: Titan Quest for $3.99 from Impulse

Titan Quest is only $3.99 this weekend on Impulse. link

It is even cheaper than the weekend deal when I got it on Steam a month or so back.

Good find, never finished it. Actually thinking about it it's probably still on my HDD waiting to be finished.

you are evil. I was going to go to bed 2 1/2 hours ago. now I've played through the demo and am downloading the game. must...go...to bed...

It's a fun game to keep you sane while you wait for Diablo 3 🙂

PS the networking code is pretty poor, which became obvious when I tried to play from my vista computer. Windows XP seems fine.

yea, I saw this too this morning. Seems I may as well give it a whirl. Too bad Immortal Throne is still 15 bucks however 🙂

Don't miss out on
Warhammer 40k
Dawn of war Dark Crusade

the game is fantastic, with great audio, and replay ability.
a must have.
$3.99

I think Immortal throne adds enough features and fixes to warrant $15 (caravan storage, transfer items between characters, fixes to some game play issues, etc). I have played through Normal once and almost thorugh Epic with one character. I have a few characters in different stages of normal as well.

The items and sets make this game really neat. Although I only seem to find a crap load of Santa set items anymore.

Multiplayer is pretty good, but finding a server without cheaters is sometimes a challenge.

Vista requires running this as an admin for network play. I know that people had issues with the steam version, but if Impulse has an executable, try running as Administrator to get network play to function.

FWIW, I am playing quite successfully on a Vista ultimate x64 with few issues (random crashes to desktop is about it).

I sincerely apologize for forcing you to lose sleep. I can sympathize with you, as I remember not sleeping well for about a week or so after picking up this game.

any idea how this impulse business works?

Impulse is the Client used to Download and Install the game onto your system. For Stardock games (and only Stardock games), it is also used as the update/patching Client.

It is a non-intrusive Client which will also load a browser API to view their offerings. Once you close the client it does not stay loaded, and is not required to run the games. Each game can be installed into the location of your choice and comes with their own Executable file.

guess i'll cave in. always wanted to play TQ to satiate my diablo fix 🙂

Um... might be just a dumb question, but based on you guys' experience, how's this stack up against Dungeon Quest (2)?

immortal throne is definitely worth buying just for the fixes imo

i had alot of bugs in mine that all got fixed my adding IM

Great deal on a great game, although I'd agree with the others that Immortal Throne's enhancements and additional content are worth it.

TQ Gold on Steam $20

Other shops have had the Gold edition with both for as much or less, you can try BestBuy, Fry's or MicroCenter locally if you have them near you.

does the impulse stardock thingy let me install the games i purchased over and over again if i reformatted my comp?

Yes. On as many computers as you want as well.

If it works in XP fine then I wouldn't blame the networking code... I'd blame vista.

TQ has been a blast, I've already gotten $3.99 worth of entertainment out of it.

Play co-op with a few friends and you will really get your money's worth!
