anyoneknow if they are gonna get more ?

ARC is manufacturing more this week, including my half dozen assortment. The sale was to have ended yesterday, but they are apparently still taking backorders. CPF consensus is that the LSH's are worth the extra $10.

The LSL and LSH are the single 123-cell lights that have the low dome and high dome emitters respectively. Several Flashaholics report using the LSH as their EDC (every day carry).

CPF is a very expensive place to lurk, and which seems to attract Flashaholics. You have been warned.

Check out the Photon3 here. It is rated just as bright as the ARC and has much longer battery life (button-cell batteries) and is tiny... about the same size as the head of a key. It's about $20 and has a microprocessor control for functions: high, medium, low, fast strobe, slow strobe, auto-off.

Now, it didn't win a Lummie award as far as I know... but I've loved mine... been using Photon lights since the original Photon. Use it just about every day.

Here is an independant review on the Photon3 here.
And the same place reviewing the ARC AAA here where the reviewer says it's "Brightness is comparable to that of a new Photon II that's been in use for a minute or two."

Just wanted to give you another option for small, bright flashlights.

There are tons of lithium button cell battery LED'S out there. The whole point of the ARC, and what makes this product unique, is that it runs off of an aaa battery, and gives such bright light in doing so.

Yeah, I get that... it is unique... it's just the size of a roll of dimes is all... as opposed to 4 quarters stacked on each other for a Photon light.
The ARC is a nice light though, if I was female and carried a purse, I'd pick one up just for the ease of finding, and cost of, replacement batteries.

Did they stop selling the flashlight? I just went over to look again and the URL is dead. Too bad. This was a great deal.

I was all ready to buy but the link is now dead and the manufacturer jacked the price back up to $25. Oh well, hopefully the price will come back down after june.

I wouldn't bet on it. This was a pretty ugly price war between a manufacturer and a distributor. I doubt Arc will let prices drop below the MSRP in the future, this was a painful lesson. Plus these flashlights are manufactured in too small a scale to be sold profitably at those prices.

Glad I ordered mine when the sale started 🙂

Just did a quick search on google, and while you can't get this for $16.50 anymore... I found these:

This place has the ARC AAA for $21 and the premium for $28 (USPS shipping included)

This place has the regular for $21.76 and the premium for $29.96 (+5.95 UPS ground)

This place has the regular for $19.95 (+$6.95 USPS priority)

I don't know anything about these vendors, one uses paypal, one uses yahoo wallet (which the mfgr also uses) but the prices are good... especially the first one with the premium for $28 shipped. As long as they don't take your money and run :Q

Edit: In fact, I like that one enough I'm gonna try them out, order one for my wife, I'll let you all know in a few days how the order goes. $33.02 shipped Priority Mail ($28 light, $2.50 priority shipping option, $2.52 CA sales tax).

Ya, I just got one in my last order. At least twice as bright as the regular CMG, and therefore the battery lasts half as long. I think it's the best single AA flashlight you can buy. The original CMG just didn't give off enough light to be useful, this one does. Well worth the money for this light that will last a lifetime.

Aw... heck... count me in too. That's a great price for the premium shipped Priority. My wallet is now experiencing the AT effect.

Edit: Found some comments on ViComptel.com's service here. Looks good!

I got 2 of the ARC "AAA" as well. I really like the flashlight. High quality, good price. I also bought a monacular and something else to get the price up to $50 for free shipping. Not sure if those were as good a deal.
