[DEAD?] Thermalright ALX-800 for only $9.99!!

Hey, I just found a site selling ALX-800's for $10. This is the lowest price I have seen for this cooler.

Can't afford a SLK, well this thing is getting really good reviews and at this price its a steal. Today (May 15th) is the last day so anyone who wants one for this cheap might wanna do so asap.

Here is the website.

Very Very nice! I picked up a few of their Panaflo 80mm H1 fans for $5.99 as well. Thanks for the deal man! That site looks really good for modding stuff.

I ordered a fan bus and a matrix orbital LCD from these guys a couple months ago. No problems, good vendor for me.

Is this the heatsink that you need a really powerful fan to take full advantage with?
Can anyone recommend a relatively silent (but strong enough fan) to go with this?

Can someone remind me which Panaflo?s have a functional RPM pickup on the third pin?
I don?t like the thought of not monitoring the CPU fan.

The Panaflo H1 they are offering with it fits that description - about 39CFM at 23 dB.

deal is still on, the higher cfm fans seem to be the ones that bring this cooler up to the level of the higher end slk heatsinks but i've seen people running lower fan speeds and still getting good results.

FrozenCPU sells the ALX-800 for $9 but from what i see their shipping is abit high, though its better than $20 everywhere else, though i'd drop in for those who missed the deal.

Order arrived today. Very, very nice. They included two complimentary generic 80mm fans to go with the ALX-800 (in addition to the H1's I ordered). I would definitely recommend them based on this one order. Well done.

Anyone know how these compare to real copper heatsinks? The copper core looks huge, but when I saw one in real life I noticed the fins were MUCH thicker then most Thermalright heatsinks.

i guess the deal is still possibly alive. they were sold out for awhile, but they now seem to have them back in stock. the page does say "offer has ended" but it seems like you can still get in on the deal. YMMV.

Says Out of Stock again. Looks like the deal is dead.

deal might be dead but i wanna vouch for the ALX-800.

I'm using it with a Sunon 80mm (39cfm) and it's great.

the reason the fins are thicker is that the alum. part is cut out of a solid block of alum...instead of individual fins grafted onto a base its an alum. fin-block grafted onto a base.

I am really, really impressed with these heatsinks. This deal gave me the excuse to try one (or two, as the case may be 😉 ). They are now running in two of my Athlon XP systems with 80mm Panaflo H1's and are doing as well as my 900a in my main rig with 92mm fans. Again, thanks for the sweet deal.
