I got mine Thursday shipped from FL but I upgraded to 3 day shipping so maybe you guys got a couple of more days if you went standard.

Best deal I've gotten this year

Got my set in yesterday. Took about a week from shipping notification to arrive. CC came through!

I don't but CC will be on my short list for places to buy one.

seeing as most places have similar prices.. I figure, why not!

Which is exactly the reason they honored the price.

I also got the shipping confirmation, but was sceptical as nowhere it says HD-DVD.
Now reading this thread I guess its the HD-DVD after all.

So now i have the HD-DVD set without a HD-DVD player. Its going to be sometime before i get one. I am not going to buy one for anything more than $50 (no rebates).
Well its going to be a show-off item anyway (all box sets are).
My guest will think I have a HD-DVD player.

Apparently Wal-Mart and Sam's Club are selling the Toshiba HD DVD player for $249 for a limited time.

Well that is still $200 more than what I am willing to spend.
Well even if i do buy $50 HD-DVD player, i still dont have a HDTV to view it on.

So its just a show piece item for me.
I will list it on craigslist and see if someone wants it for $50.

nlkccom, I have not received mine either and my card has already been charged.

EDIT: Received mine today. Oh happy, joy, joy!! Happy, joy, joy!

What are you talking about? Do you even have a HD-DVD player?

I bet he played the movies in regular dvd player.
Many but not all, do have double sided, one being std and hd on the other.
I played these movies in my Toshiba A2 with all the HD 1080i glories had to offer.
