man...I have not played in like 3 months.....what are the upgrades?
 
If you haven't played in a few months you probably missed some other class upgrades too 😉

The engie has upgraded teleporters (faster recharge time) and dispensers (more health/ammo). The medics also had a few changes in the recent update, and they updated the particle effects of water along with a few more small tweaks.
 
That is a good deal, I still have a sealed copy I bought for $16 and haven't done anything with yet. I'll probably hand it out on Christmas.
 
And I thought some of Valve's other deals, like The Orange Box at it's original $50, were an amazing value. But this game for a mere $10 is just amazing!

Buy this.
 
Would this game be playable online with crappy 1.5MB/512 qwest. I haven't even tried online gaming with this connection.

Yes, assuming your ping is reasonably OK. I've had 7 people playing online, sharing a single 6.0/768 dsl connection without any problem.

Great game at $20 (or $40), and worth every penny. $10 is incredible.


 
In for one, maybe another for my bro. Looking for a replacement for Battlefield 2 - the community is slowly dying off.
 
I just tried it for the first time today. I think it's one of the best shooters I've ever tried... different, a little silly, very fun.

haha I didn't even realize that it was an official update! I was playing on a server with a bunch of custom maps and played as an engy for a while. I thought it was just a mod the server had going 😱
 
As an engie I like the update, but I gotta admit..it makes the class too powerful now. A level 3 teleporter is virtually instant, making defending certain areas incredibly easy. They should reduce the charge time slightly in the next update to make it more difficult to defend on Goldrush/Dustbowl, etc.

Ha, ha - actually, I tried COD4 a while ago. I could never get into it - kept getting slaughtered immediately. Miss those wide open expanses of BF2. But thanks for the reminder - I'll try it again, now that I find myself getting slaughtered right away in TF2!!! Hope all you old-time TF2 players are enjoying us noobs running around trying to avoid the pyros!
