i just got my dell 2405 2 days ago. when i turned it on and checked it out i found 2 dead pixels.

yesterday as i was turning off the monitor to goto sleep i found out the 2 dead pixels were actually 2 specks of dirt. lol

i just scratched it off and apparently i have 0 dead pixels. 🙂

first time LCD buy and its perfect.

lolz, i once thought that i had some dead pixels too. damn dirts 😛

I had 1 stuck pixel on my Dell Inspiron 9300. I have the WUXGA screen (1920x1200). I used the "massage" method to get rid of it. Worked like a champ. On my Sony PSP, i've had 2 units who both had multiple dead pixels. I'm on my 3rd PSP (1st one didn't have any, but i fubar'd it when i modded it lol), 2nd one had a TON of dead pixels, 3rd doesn't have as many as the 2nd, but its more than 5 (only noticeable some of the time).

1 dead red pixel on my 2405. I only spotted it when I first got the monitor and looked everything over.

I forgot all about it until now... thanks OP for bringing back the nightmare. just kidding.

Zero at my ViewSonic VP930, but this is fourth one I got. First had 2 dead and 3 stuck pixels, 2 were DOA. Fourth one is perfect.
