Dead/stuck pixel poll

I have 1 stuck on red towards the side of the screen on my 19" Gateway FPD1975, but its not a big enough problem to exchange.

EDIT: Just realized I don't have 0 for the second poll, I added it. I assume most of the people who voted for "I'm just here for the poll" wanted to vote for 0.

I have one red pixel on my Dell 2405fpw. I don't notice it at all though with the exception of the first week I got it.

i just got my dell 2405 2 days ago. when i turned it on and checked it out i found 2 dead pixels.

yesterday as i was turning off the monitor to goto sleep i found out the 2 dead pixels were actually 2 specks of dirt. lol

i just scratched it off and apparently i have 0 dead pixels. 🙂

first time LCD buy and its perfect.

NO DEAD PIXELS, i shop at a place where i pretty much know the guy well enough to open the box myself hook it up to a computer they are building and see for dead pixels before i buy 😛

Samsung 915N

I don't have any dead pixels on my Dell laptop LCD (the only LCD I have), although the image quality on that is so nasty that a dead pixel or two probably won't make things much worse. 😛

i'd be too anal to deal with any kinda dead pixels or whatever.

0 messed up pixels across 2 dell 2001fps, and some dell 17 in. lcd i have...

I found one on my 2405 but to see it I have to have a 100% pure black back ground and then be about 45 degrees to the right of my monitor. Other wise I don't see it and in reality I haven't seen it in a few months

I can't wait for the 2405's and other monitors to come down in price. And I could care less about a couple pixels... I used to have a big old Trinitron that had the 2 lines and got over that and that is equivalent to hundreds of pixels. As long as you don't focus on the lines/pixels you will never notice them. 😉

Samsung 204B = 0 Stuck AND 0 Dead Pixels
Samsung 172X = 0 Stuck AND 0 Dead Pixels
Samsung 172T = 0 Stuck AND 0 Dead Pixels

"Knock-on-wood" Being on my third (3rd) Samsung LCD (172T, 172X, and now 204B) I have never had any stuck or dead pixels at all. (Thank you Samsung and whoever makes their panels).

I had 3 dead pixels on my first Sony SDM-X73 (17") but exchanged it, for one that has none (thats an option missing from your poll.)

oh my sister bought a daytek 17 inch 25ms last year (EWWWWWW) and it has one dead pixel right in the middle, no matter what you see it unless the background is white or really light colors

1 on my laptop up by the title bar so you can't see it.
0 on my 2005fpw
n/a on my incoming 2405fpw

Zero on mine (Viewsonic VP201b)
One on the office one though, stuck red right in the center of the screen, very noticable 🙁 (Acer AL1715)

This may not count, more of a defective screen. The very first LCD monitor I bought (aside from notebook screen) was an Acer AL1912b. It worked for about ½ hour and then a 2" wide column of pixels got stuck.

LOL
IQ is so bad on Dell Latitude laptops, dead pixels actually makes it better.

Wait, tubes don't get dead pixels anyway. Sweet.

Surprisingly enough one of my old MultiSync tubes had a dust particle in it that caused a rainbowy pixel.
