this thing rocks....even if the rebate doesn't show (IMO) ....it's only 2" long and has a sliding cover (that doesn't come off so you can't lose it) and it also comes with a USB extension cable somewhere between 3 and 4 feet long!!!!
BTW....confirmed in AZ also!:D

I just got back from the Burbank store, 2:30PM. They had plenty left. The rebate says they have to be bought at Frys between 4/16 and 4/17 only. The rebate has to be sent in within 5 days from the purchase date. Great deal, picky rebate.

This one is tiny. I just picked one up at Fremont Fry's and going to mail the rebate today.

Sh!t, rebates states that it must be post marked NO LATER THAN 5 DAYS FROM PURCHASE DATE. So this kills the deal from outpost.com, or am I wrong?

Outpost shipped to the west coast of the US with ground in 4-5 days even though they are located on the east coast. So anywhere closer than California will have the deal...unless you pay for 2nd day air or over night shipping.

that's what I'm wondering...how long would it take to get it from outpost. I guess you could risk it, and if it came on the 6th day or whatever, then you could refuse to receive it, so it goes back to outpost, then cancelling it or something. Sucks, but you could do that (I think..)

man... these things are TINY.... Got the Linksys 64MB stick last week (9.99) and this one is SO much smaller and has a write protect feature via a switch on the side!

Only 2.25in*.75in*.25in (L*W*H)!

I love this size and the best feature, the swivel cap. I hate those stupid sticks that have the neck straps on the caps (why the cap, why not on the USB memory key itself
rolleye.gif
). I lost a nice memory key that way, at least it was free, anyone want a memory key cap with strap minus the memory key...

I just got one too.. Even with all these people saying how small it is I'm still boggled.
I wish a 256MB one would go on sale. :p

Transfer rate is kind of pokey, but not horrible. Now if they made them in USB2.0 flavor that would be incredible.

They are available in USB 2.0, and in 1GB size, but they cost more, Staples has the Buslink 1GB USB BusDrive for $499.99 :p

<a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www002.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/sku.asp?PageType=1&Sku=IM1454894&bcFlag=True&bcSCatId=3&bcSCatName=Technology&bcCatId=18&bcCatName=Peripherals&bcDeptId=1429&bcDeptName=Drives+%26+Storage&bcClassId=142211&bcClassName=Portable+Hard+Drives">Buslink 1GB USB BusDrive
</a>

(The ultimate storage-on-the-go device! Carry a HUGE amount of data with you--right in your pocket or on your key chain--with this USB hard drive. It is smaller than a pack of gum and virtually weightless!)
I want one these :D 1GB in your pocket how cool is that.

Staples has a lots of these flash drives on their web site, but they are way over priced.
