From coupon: "Minimum purchase requirement of $75 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies"

This has $50 instant savings, so i guess it depends on if the person working cares/notices. Good deal OP.

I just picked up 1 of these modules in-store - Part # is D512MPC27OPT. The chips are BRAVO ADP-328TM-60.

Thanks OP.

Yeah, but if they are pc3200 in a pc2700 package, although not absolute, aren't they "rejects" that could not be stable in pc3200 but stable in 2700?

Possible, but unlikely. Generally, it just means that they may have run low on one of the types of chips, and substituted the faster ones. After all, if the chips themselves couldn't handle the speed, they would have been marked at the lower speed by the DRAM chip mfg themselves.

Please kindly edit the thread title to remove the (-)

This hot deal is for $34.99 not -$34.99. :)

Not interested in the ram, just wanted to post how GREAT staples new rebate system is. Just a few things to type in online, and your rebate is submitted, no mailing at all. Bless the person at staples who finally decided to end all this mailing upcs nonsense

I jumped on the deal and got 2 sticks (one through my GF) there was only one left in store but the manager asked me if I wanted one delivered (I could not hurt his feelings and say no)
great combo with Outpost MOBO combos deals (2500 Sempron + ECS mobo $74.99) for an extra cheap system

$76.5 for 1 Gig of Ram can't beat that!

Must be dead. Shows $94.94 at link and when added to cart. So, it's about $20 more now. :(

Just bought one at Staples in Downtown Atlanta.

The deal went pretty smooth, they didn't question the coupon on top of the $50 instant saving.

They had like 7 in stock and the thing was, they didn't have any of them out on display. I had to take a box to the check out and ask if I could see some of them before buying. They brought it all out after I told him what I was looking for, they don't have the "adp-328tm-50" ones that are supposed to be PC3200s.

They had only a stack of adp-328tm-60 bravo chips.

I bought one anyway since my computer is currently running Crucial PC2700 from a year back. That and I've been running on 512mb for a year and I usually have like 130mb free when I'm not doing anything on the comp and get really low on ram when I'm actually using it.

Total was $70 something after tax so I'll be getting this for about $40 after the rebate thing.

Is anyone finding non-bravo chips lately? I miss the days of infineon and samsung PNY. I'd like another 512mb stick myself but i'm not willing to put bravo in a performance geared system.

I got some, it works fine in the machine...until it drops into Windows 2000. Then wham, ACPI-noncompliant BIOS (0x00000A5) BSOD.

It only happens when I pop in the PNY.

Go figure...

probably a bad memory slot in your computer. take out your existing memory stick and put in the new stick where the old one was. if your computer works, put the old existing stick in the where you where originally putting the PNY stick. it happens sometimes....

The chips on my sample have a large "S". Also there's the numbers BQ 0402 and some more numbers too small to read. I'm getting a default of 2.5-3-3-6 at 2.5V.
I have it in a pc running Memtest-86 v3.2.

I really wanted some PC3200 for my ep-8RDA+ nForce2 mobo, but this is a very good price and just fine for my ep-8k5a2+ VIA KT333 chipset.
