I played it for about an hour and uninstalled it. I didn't like the character control, the weapon nor the combat; plus, if I want to do quests I will play Everquest 2. But that's just me - I didn't like Witcher or Far Cry 2 either. I like fast paced combat like the Half Life, Call of Duty, Crysis, and FEAR series of games and this wasn't in that catagory, at least not what I played of it.

Well didnt you know what those games were before you bought them?

I don't understand the point of your question. He asked for opinions of the game, I gave him my opinion and explained the reason for it since my dislike of the game has more to do with my personal preferences than with the inherent quality (goodness) of the game. I was explaining that I wasn't saying that the game was bad, just that if has the same preferences as me he might not enjoy it

What is it you are getting at or trying to ask me?

I was asking why you bought those games if you know you dont like the go here do this type stuff. Maybe it wasnt very clear with Dead Space but Far Cry 2 was very much advertised and presented as a mission type game.

Oh. It was because I read and heard that they were good. I loved Bioshock, and that isn't a true FPS. I loved Crysis so I thought Far Cry 2 might be fun. I am always willing to try stuff, cause I don't always know in advance what might appeal to me about a particular game. Why do I like Bioshock and EQ2? I really don't know, but I do, so I always keep an open mind.

edit: and now that I think about it, it wasn't the missins I didn;t like in FC2. It was the running around looking for diamond cases, and purchasing weapons, and all the driving around. I got bored waiting to get to the next combat.

Okay I see. I am sort of like that because I hate role playing but yet I purchased Fallout 3 and Mass Effect. I havent even opened Mass Effect yet and Fallout 3 is driving me nuts with the hitching every few seconds while loading areas outside. I thought Dead Space was great and I loved the way everything was implemented to avoid having a traditional hud. Far Cry 2 was just so repetitive and the respawing check points just lessened my interest even more.

I played Dead Space and beat it when it first came out. It was an awesome game the first time around. Now with the military suit and playing with triple wide monitors, I'm completely blown away. Absolutely fantastic game

Does the Military Suit unlock any special abilities?

I actually thought the upper-level engineer suits looked cooler. They had more of a steampunk feel.
