I got the exact same e-mail and the same status when checking their web site. I smell a scam brewing:|

:disgust: I got the exact same message about my rebate being invalid. The upc # they say I sent in does not match the # on the copy I have that I actually sent in.

I got the "invalid" message and went to the website and notified customer service
that I wanted to know exactly why it was invalid and asked for the full name of
the contact who replies to me. I have copies of everything and pointed out that
both the SKU and UPC numbers match. I told them I would be notifying the
Better Business Bureau of Texas for resolution if they don't fix this. I suggest that
everyone do the same thing to spark some real attention to this.

Website is rebateshq.com
Phone # 1-888-221-4692 press 0 somewhere after the first menu to get to a human.
They ask for your rebate # (8 digit starts with 1xxxxxxx)
Tell them you're calling about the PNY/OD rebate. The only question they asked me was if it was for the 100 or the 133. (mine was for the 133).
The rep I talked with indicated by tone of voice that she would "do me a favor by taking care of this" (which was a real pisser)
I love it when CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS do me a "favor" by taking care of their screw ups.

Anyway, they are going to honor the rebate. Probably my last PNY/Parago rebate.

What a pain... I received this invalid message as well. After talking with the rebate center they said that it was a 'data entry error'. Supposedly she issued a complaint against the data entry department... (yeah... right...)

Anyways, they fixed it for me.

I got the same error message and I sent an email to OD. They answered back that the rebate was only with tax software purchase, which it wasn't. So I called the rebate center. The jerk said that as a one time courtesy they will validate my rebate. Anyway, if you got the same message, don't give up, just call them. It took 5 minutes.

argh! i received the same email about an invalid rebate submission. i called rebateshq like people have suggested, and spoke with a customer rep. she said the upc number was invalid, and i explained that i had a number of friends (my AT buddies!) who experienced the same exact problem, and who had already called up and discovered that it was a data entry problem. the customer rep then said "oh, i see, i'm really sorry for the inconvenience, let me validate this rebate for you..." a few seconds later, she said that the rebate for $15 was verified and that i should allow 4-6 weeks to receive the check. thanks for everyone's help!

I just got the postcard today. There is something up with Officedepot/PNY RAM deals. I got a rejection email for a rebate from This Thread also. I called them last week and they straightened it out. I called on this deal as well and gave them the UPC over the phone andthey told me it is fixed. I just checked my status omline and it comes up as processing now (said postcard sent a minute ago.)

thanks BeerHunter for posting the number to call and about the option '0', for some reason when i called them, the machine didn't mention that option (only options 1, 2, 3 were available). i, too, got the rejection postcard, and called them today. after giving them my name, address, and UPC#, they straightened things out. for those who got the rejection postcard, you might want to call them back instead of faxing or mailing them your scanned copies for resubmission.

I got the rejection postcard as well. Took about 10 minutes on the phone to get it straightened out. I may have caused the problem by circling the incorrect productas the rebate form was fuzzy and hard to read.

I also got the rejection postcard...
says something like "the upc code is incorrect for this rebate".

I have copies of everything and it all looks A-OK...
---------------------------------------------------------
Glad I did the search here and found this thread... looks like I wasn't the only one :)

Will call tomorrow and hopefully get this matter resolved.

When I called the phone number (after re-faxing everything to them and
getting a second notice that the UPC number was invalid), I learned that
whoever was entering UPC codes entered them wrong (all of us? Yeah, right).
Perhaps they were trying not to pay and are fixing it only when people call.
