Other than maybe routing and snaking in tight/flat crevices, what are the pros? Not being an azz, I'm genuinely curious.

I'm sure there is no performance degradation. In my particular case they won't be seen being routed behind the motherboard tray. It's still an awesome PSU. I don't generally look at my cables after it's all installed. Easier to route like you already said. It was only 89$
