so according to a friend who works at the cambridge, ma store ? they are already aware of the problem. I guess like a billion do-gooders have already called it in to the toll free line, and it's being changed once they get into the store at 10. He says they don't make exceptions in-store/B&M, and they reject people at the door for price mistakes all the time. I dunno though, still have my fingers crossed.

it would be bad if they charge everyone for it, then take forever to return the funds.

I do believe mail-order laws state that an item cannot be billed until it has shipped.

A lot of companies get away with it because people just don't know.

What the hell, I'm going for it :)

EDIT: Purchased 1 because my debit card doesnt allow for more than $200 dollars at a time lol
Didn't have to wait that long during purchase, hopefully it will go through and be shipped out.

Everyone post if they get one.

According to the FTC's website, the prohibition of advance credit card billing is a "general industry rule". But violating that rule is not necessarily a violation of the Fair Credit Billing Act. FTC also says that "many credit card issuers have policies against merchants charging a credit card account before shipment" and that the issuer could provide relief if a merchant violates their policies.

Ahh I went ahead and placed an order. Looking at this realistically, I would only be upset if they shipped the card and billed me at the real price (probably $400?) *without* the option to cancel first.
If, however, they do ship/bill at $150, then I will be ecstatic. And, if they don't honor it, but do let me cancel w/o penalty, then there is no harm or loss for me.

Accorind to their terms of sale:
Receipt of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of an order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel or limit the quantity of product available for any item.

Oh well, no loss, but I would hate to have missed out on this if it did go through.

FYI MC does the following when you place an order(based on personal experience):

1. Order Confirmation
2. Backorder notice
3. Cancellation Notice(If this doesn't appear within a week or so, then chances are good that the order will go through)
4. Shipped notice if number 3 doesn't happen

Ordered one ~9:50 EST, went through, confirm 10:25, "est ship 5/11"

No doubt will get backorder notice soon - if this is a screwup (p=.999), the new stock will arrive after the 30 days

Thanks to those that ordered several, it's very helpful to everyone else; hope that if they fill the orders, they do it from small to large.

That was weird. Just tried adding one to my cart. It took awhile but finally my cart loaded up - but with a Radeon 850XT (with a price of $356) rather than the 1900.
