Anyone even contemplating a PSU upgrade in the $75-$150 range should stop considering and just buy this:

Coupon code: EMCYTZT412

This is seriously better than most PSUs at the $150 price point. Efficiency of 88% starting at 10% load and way underrated at 650w. Just buy it!

Note: The only time this has ever been cheaper was on Black Friday 2010, when it was $96. Buy, buy, buy!

I second that. Bought 2 around BF last year. Paid more than $96. $110, I think. Love them. The fan never came on. Total silence from the PSU, including the one I put in my WHS powering 7 HD drives. It doesn't even break a sweat.

Damnit, I knew I should have waited to get a PSU. I got a corsiar HX 650 about a month ago for $95, but it's only 80% bronze. Guess I could try and sell it.

In for 1 even though i don't need 650W of power. I was looking for a 430W PSU since I plan to build a new desktop with very low power consumption. But the fact is that the X650 has 88.8% efficiency at 10% load, according to JonnyGuru, hooked me.

Thanks OP.

This is an outstanding deal, especially when this PSU is compared to comparable 80Plus Gold units.

I currently have an HX620 that's still doing ok.
Don't know whether to replace it with this or if it's much of an improvement or what.

Doesn't seem like there's much reason to replace it if it's working fine. I tend to only update PSU's when I do a brand new build.
