Sick.

Bought this drive over a year ago as an external from Amazon and I've been waiting ever since to scoop up another drive at the same price for backing up. Can't believe it's taken this long.

Thanks OP

They go on sale at newegg often at this price.

They do?

It's actually $140 with code EMCYTZG342 right now, so I guess it may have been that low with codes before. But this seems pretty hot to me.

Yeah, pretty sweet price. I couldn't resist. Interesting to note that the 4TB is the only one of the series that is 5900RPM. All of the other variant are 7200RPM.

It hit this price before, but always external version. I think this might be the first time when I see internal version at this price. Good deal if you don't care about the enclosure and would like to have longer warranty instead. I have had 10 of these in my file server for about 6 months now. Contrary to the horror tales of late so far they've been holding up fine with zero reallocated sectors. Here's to hoping they hold up for the next 5 years.

I like the drive because it's a quietly operating power sipper that's still pretty quick.

I haven't seen it too many times at this price.

They do?

I have several in my stash, all purchased at $129 shipped or less. If you haven't seem them selling at this price, you aren't looking hard enough.

Less? Let's see a screenie of an invoice then. Because I've been watching this drive for a year, waiting for a chance to buy another, and this is as cheap as it gets and it gets here rarely.

I'm not putting in the effort, idgas. Don't believe me, I don't care.

Newegg had them on sale a week or so ago for 129 after coupon code.

Cool. But if you don't care then don't spew into a deals thread that you've bought something for less than is currently advertised, especially when it hasn't happened.

Of course, I do as well. But I would never, on an open forum, presume to apply them against the publicly available price of an item.

Keep in mind also that some Newegg members get email coupons.

When I posted my initial reply, no less than three online etailers had concurrent sales on this same item for this price. As I said, if you aren't finding them you aren't looking hard enough.

Thanks for coming through with that screen capture of your invoice showing you purchased several of these for the same amount or less!

Yeah, thanks for settling this; two deals for this drive at cheaper pricing - one from Best Buy more than six months ago, another from an overseas eBay seller (I hope you bought several from that dude. Warranty fulfillment will be fun). The BB deal was also for an external. Regardless, both were only cheaper by lunch-money.

This was the cheapest this drive in internal form, with the longer internal warranty, has been.

How are you still trolling at 29k posts? Smell the roses, yo.
