I checked eBay yesterday afternoon and there were 44 ongoing auctions for "Seagate 120GB". Today there are 125 ongoing auctions for the same listing as "Seagate 120 GB'.

I've never had any problems with Seagate rebates. I've done maybe 5 or 6 over the last couple years. Always arrived. I think maybe one was a week or so late. The others were right about the 8-week time that they say in the fine print.

Seagate is very good about rebates. I've always gotten mine. Nice deal but I'm waiting for another 160gb SATA Seagate for $40 AR deal.

anyone know what the difference is 133mb/s vs 100mb/s? What does this effect? Does it effect how fast i can surf the net?

By the way , the drive is very quite compared to the last one i had.

Since I just bought a PVR-150 MCE, I had to buy this. There were about 6 left in the Columbia MD BB at 1230pm. Can this HD be used in a RAID setup? If so, I'll drop by after work and pick another one up.

In that case, pick up another 3 and do a 0+1 redundant array and have the best of both worlds...

Amazing that I've been here all these years and have missed those 160GB drives for $29.99 AR every week!

If anyone doesn't mind the rebates (yikes 3 of them) and only needs one drive, CompUSA has the 160GB Seagate for $39.99 AR this week. 304907.

I'm thinking because you can't do 6 rebates at once and doing individual rebates is a PITB

Isn't 120 right under the limit that some people have if they dont' have the 'large drive access' setting turned, on even if they are running XP?

Yes, it's under the 137 GB limit.

This deal is still alive at the Santa Rosa, CA BB. I picked up 3 drives this afternoon. It looked like there were about 15 drives left on the shelf.
