wont buy seagate again, the 750gb i had clicked like a 1980s Big Foot hard drive and turns out thats how those hard drives were supposed to click. back to Western Digital

If the firmware on the drive label shows "CC1H" like mine did from a similar dell deal from 1.5 months ago then it should be fine. IIRC, from what I've read, any of the CCxx firmware are not affected. I would definately check to verify your particular drive still.

Thanks for the information as I was hoping it wouldn't be a price mistake, much like what happened over a mwave with the 1TB Samsung. My Seagate is supposed to ship tomorrow.
