Well just found a copy of my $10 rebate form it says valid from 2/20 - 3/19 with postmark date 4/19..per the web.rebate site (link from their confirmation email) says valid 2/20/2005 - 03/11/2005 (Last Postmark: 04/11/2005)...both lists it as the 9014-SD offer number.Looks like they goofed!I'll be calling them up as soon as they send me the denied email.

Just got a postcard from Sandisk saying thet my submission did not include an origional UPC from a qualifying SanDisk product. I guess I'll have to look up my scans......

Received my Ratshack $20 rebate 2-3 days ago. The 10 Sandisk is approved and awaiting the mail date.

10.00 after rebate for this was a great deal. Thanks again OP.

I called them up.They said they didn't know why mine was rejected on the grounds that it was bought out of date when it was clearly within the date.I told them about their web page claiming that the ending date was 3-11 instead of 3-19 (which now shows the correct date of 3-19)..His replay was that he had no answer for the date switch but it will be mailed out.

i recieved the same post card; are they going to accept a copy of the upc; since the post card stated they need the original upc.

Update - I just received the $10 Sandisk rebate and the $20 Radioshack rebate the other day so this netted out at $10 for me (our USPS moving packs only had 10% off Home Depot coupons in it and no 10 off 40 RS coups).

I used the pdf version of the 20 rebate from RS and a copy of the UPC and the cash register rebate printout for the 10 rebate and the original UPC for that.

All worked fine for me. Thanks OP and everyone else here for tips on which microCruzer to get.

Is there a site where we can check the status of the $10 rebate?

I checked SanDisk's site and found no such rebate query option.

Doing a search on rebates or checking their FAQs shows that you can email them a general inquiry about your rebate.

Thanks

however, drive DIED today also (light started blinking, then went out altogether and it wont recognize)

I keep work on these drives shuttling between home/work/laptop. When they die it costs me money. Got a titanium instead. Hopefully that'll last a little longer than 10 weeks.

mine died also when i was trying to get it recognized in win xp. seems this may be a hardware issue. i got it replaced through sandisk so i suggest you guys do the same.

My refund check from Rat Shack was only $10 -- the rebate site even shows it that way.

Did I get the wrong rebate somehow? The valid date range shows 3/20-3/26.

Hi jwardl,

Hmmm, that's curious, because the valid date range is 3/10/05 - 3/19/05 for the $20 Radio Shack Rebate form for the 512mb cruzer micro here - http://www.radioshack.com/images/rebates/2503266b.pdf

The promo # was 7029

What's the promo # on your rebate form?

I received both my rebates as well, in a timely manner without even having to think about them!

On the down side the big plastic cover has become so loose that it falls off without warning. The cover is made of thick plastic and shows no sign of wear on the inside. Has anyone come up with a way to keep the cover from sliding off?
