but i thought it was like an om deal, where the price changes upon the total? and panicked (i'm cheap!!! i can eat at rallys for a week on $10!)

No. Call the toll free number listed either rebate, or just read this thread, to confirm.

If your question is about the combo of print out and on-line rebates, again, the answer is no. The on-line rebates are word for word duplicates of what printed out at the register.

No problem.

Looks like they ran out at every store in Ohio. So I'm having it shipped to my house via UPS for free. Way to go Radi-Ho Shack!
 
Got the last one in Ontario CA a few hours ago. Both rebates look good to me, I don't understand the confussion, no conflicts on the forms. Good deal, thanks granolagirl!
 
Here are my Sandra results... looks like my drive is the USB 1.0 (271 ops/minute). It seems SOOOO slow when transferring the bigger files.

EDIT: Here is the pic of the results (The SanDisk one is the first one and my 1+ year old Dell 64mb one is second.)

But for 10.00 what could you expect?

Could I return this item and complain that it's not the correct speed even tho its already opened? Thanks!
 
just to let you know the transfer rate on this model is HORRIBLE, even less then USB 1 (<1.5 MB/sec) speeds, even though it supports USB 2.0 which is 40 times faster. So really there is no point for the USB 2.0 support as the transfer rate is less than USB 1. Just a marketing gimmick I guess, because they know it wouldn't sell if they market it as USB 1.
For comparison, there are many types of flash memory with different speeds, but most new ones support at least 3-5 MB/s, which is 2-3 times faster then the cruzer micro.
 
Transfer rate depends on which one you get. Bought one with a white triangle in the upper right corner which had info on some software. Bought one without the white triangle. They both are marked made in China on the side of the drive. The one without the white ad took 93 seconds to transfer a 120mb file. The one with the triangle transfered the same file in 28 seconds. I traded the one without the white ad in for one that had it. The newest drive is also fast. YMMV
 
At my R.S .They told me the price is $69.99 and 39.99 after rebates!!Could some stores still be selling it at the regular price instead of the on sale price?There was no on sale price for it....🙁

If you go to radioshack.com & search 25-3266, you'll see the sale price is still $39.99.

Call the RadioShack customer service number - 1-800-843-7422. The CSR will verify that the online & instore price is still $39.99 for this product (It is on SALE, and the former regular price WAS $69.99).

i went to the store i was supposed to buy it from yesterday -- they were walking out and locking the door thirty minutes before closing, told me it was because they hadn't got any business

EDIT: Does anyone have a scan (or could get a scan) of what the package containing the faster drive looks like? I'm probably going to go back and get another one, but I want to get the right one! Thanks!!!
 
Well, this probably belongs in brag/moan (or maybe FS/FT eventually)...

I got the drive at Rat Shack for $29.99 (used coupon) then filled out the $20 rebate (copies of UPC/receipt) and the $10 rebate (copy of receipt and original UPC cut from the same drive I bought at Staples a while back...don't know why I saved it, but glad I did).

I checked out this thread and saw the "two versions" issue. I called Sandisk and they deny it. So I went to staples to exchange my micro w/o the free software sticker for one with the sticker (supposed version 2). They clerk said I could just upgrade to the Titanium for the $20 price difference. Ok, so I did.

Well, the titanium is blindingly fast. However, it is much bigger than my Micro. More noticeable than I expected.

Anyone want to buy my Titanium? Better yet, maybe I can trade it for a 1GB micro when they come out (fat chance).
