My last f4 2tb came in the usual Samsung clamshell, held in foam, in a box made to ship hdds. The foam suspended the hdd perfectly and the whole setup is made for shipping hdds. Think how you get a hdd back from rma.

Newegg uses what ever is laying around it seems. I never get two things packed the same. The worst is their brown paper! Ya...you can pack with paper 🙄.
 
Why get the 500GB when the PPG (price per gig) is so low on the 1tb one already...? I guess if you are really on a tight budget but still....

True, at this point the prices are pretty similar, and the 1TB is faster. But the 500GB is quieter and uses a bit less power. Good for an HTPC. And just ignore the Newegg price. It's not competitive. I got it for less from Newegg six months ago. Superbiiz is the place to get the drives.
