Just plain warm for a high response time screen, but pretty damn hot considering it's 12ms.
Ehhhh...... 12ms is not hot, btw.
What's hot then? What is currently lower?

12ms is the best there is on the market to my knowledge and is more than fast enuff for anything u CRT obsessed thread crapper.

if I hadn't just given up food for the next 2 months for that envision deal a few weeks back, I would seriously consider this because I used my mom's 17" samsung over the weekend and I think the text is a lot crisper on the samsung, plus I was at compusa looking at that 24" widescreen samsung and it had a gorgeous display, best I have ever seen from an lcd, I think you can't go wrong with a samsung lcd for this price, my mom's is about 2 years old now and doesn't have dvi either, I played the current trendy games 2 years ago on it and didn't really notice ghosting with it's 25ms display, I'm sure the 12 will handle anything anyone throws at it.

I was looking at this display earlier today and really liked it. I'm debating taking this one over the dell 17inch

Man, for a second I felt like I fell asleep and woke up to a world where 6ms is the norm or something. :Q

Brightness 300 cd/m2
Contrast Ratio 600:1
Response Time (ms) 12

Killed it.... but I guess if it's not for gaming, then it's alright.

Please explain.

Yes. Please do explain. I just bought one of these and I played Doom 3 @ 60 fps with no ghosting. I played Live For Speed in 1280x1024 @ 80-100fps and no ghosting. Doesn't get much better than that! The monitor is freaking awesome. I want two so I can do dual setup (the border is pretty thin).
