Just buy it. You won't be sorry.

OK. I just purchased three sets to go along with my two sets of Samsung 30nm 1.35V. :) This deal was just too good to pass.

I'm going to swap out my 1.5V DDR3 and find a buyer, probably will break even. One set is going in my yet to be built ultra-low power HTPC.

You managed to get the 1T command rate with 4 sticks? Awesome.

Yup. This RAM is awesome. I think I could get stable at 2133 with 1T if I was willing to loosen to cas 11. But I don't think performance would be as zippy as it is at 1866 with tighter timings, even though SB really benefits from clock more than timings.

I'm confused, isn't this deal on Samsung 30nm 1.35v? Then again, I'm sure I could find a use for 5 kits :D

do I order a set or two or more... hmm...

already have 16GB in my main rig and 8GB in a secondary. I do have another rig I could build as well as always upgrading to 32GB and/or 16GB for those respective rigs...

For added clarity, I should have said, I now own 5 sets of Samsung 2x4GB 30nm 1.35v with the purchase of three yesterday evening. Yeah, these things rock. :)

I was trying to hold out for Samsung's 20nm 1.35v Green DDR3, but this will have to do. :) 8GB sticks would have been nice as well.

So I had missed out AGAIN on the deal...

Until I checked email. I got one of those Newegg Shopping Helper coupon code emails. The codes only work for those who get sent the email, but typically quite a few receive these.

9/17 only 15% off desktop memory BTENAJC42

single 4GB Samsung DDR3 $19.99 shipped

Thus, $33.98 shipped for 2x4GB of this wonderful Samsung memory.

CHECK YOUR EMAILS!

I think I'll jump on this deal now.

Nice deal, and buying the separate DIMMs is a good tip.

Ironically, I got that 15% off code for buying this ram, so it doesn't do me too much good. ;)

If you didn't buy something recently, though, you probably can't get this deal.

I'm currently IBT stable at 1866, 9-9-9-24-1T with 4 sticks at auto voltage, which amazingly is 1.36v. I only discovered it was stable by accident, as I punched in 1.45 but apparently didn't save the BIOS settings.

Awesome! It's insane that these things can OC this well at essentially their stock voltage. Now you got me wanting to scale back from 1.42 at those same timings!

Will this ram overclock to 2133 on a P67 chipset?

I don't know. YMMV with overclocking of course. Yesterday I was overclocking these on a Z77 chipset motherboard. Haven't hit any limit yet, but these days I'm pretty happy with what I can get.

stock
CAS 11
1600MHz
1.35v

my results
CAS 9
1833MHz
1.35v

Not sure I even want to bother with more. I'm trying to keep voltage down.

Assuming you want to keep voltage at or below 1.5 (which you should on P67), then you'll need to loosen the timings a lot, but it should be possible to get 2 sticks stable at 2133. Start at cas 10 and try 11 (stock is 11 for these) if that doesn't work. I'd guess they'd be stable at 10-10-10-28-2T/2133/1.5v. With 4 sticks, it gets a little hairier.

New code offers 12% off (MEM106) - 2x4GB set is now $39.59. Sorry - can't update the thread title, but I know lots of people in this thread were interested in the product.
