To get this to work with Windows 7 32 or 64 Bit you need to do the following.

1. Plug in the adapter.

2. Download the Windows 7 drivers here:

http://www.rosewill.com/products/d_1117/productDetail.htm

3. Right click the driver install file and navigate to:

a. Compatibility Tab
b. Run this program in compatibility with Windows Vista 32/64 Bit.
c. Apply/Ok

4. Run the setup and the device should be detected. Windows 7 will update the device automatically if the drivers are out of date.

credit goes to SD.

Just to note, this adapter's chipset (RTL8187L) has does not work perfectly in Linux so far. However, with the latest kernel at least the connection does not seem to drop any longer. The connection speed has been reported to drop over time down to 1mbps though.

Not so much of a big deal now that they are OOS, but i ordered 2 of these about 6 months ago. One of them died about one month ago. The second one is extremely flakey, dropping connection randomly and needs to be disconnected/reconnected to work again.
