DEAL STILL ALIVE!!!!!

All-new $100 MIR from Office Depot, good 5/4 to 6/1 (still accepts photocopies on all!):

http://expressdoc.plexus-online.com/Items/58707.jpg

NOTE: SAYS VALID ON IN-STORE PURCHASES ONLY!

"Old" Toshiba $100 rebate, good until 5/15:

http://www.web-rebates.com/toshiba/07457h/

You have until 5/15 to take advantage of this double rebate!

New 10% off $50 coupon available for on-line purchases only...YMMV but do some light social engineering and score this for $29.90 off in-store! Otherwise there is a $15 off coupon at OD.

See if Staples.com has these in stock...PM Office Depot's rebate (slight YMMV, but I am 5 for 5 PMing rebate prices at Staples), and you pay $189.00 (110% match) and get $100 back from Toshiba via rebate. :D

Now the only prob is FINDING one!

For those who need a folding keyboard, the Belkin G700 is a butterfly type available at Belkin.com refurb $32 (shipped $39.50).
There's a thread here for 50% of Belkin goods, but I tried, and I couldn't get the price on the kbrd down to $16 using the promo code.

Well I couldn't order this online so I stopped by my local store on a hunch and they had two left one demo and a new sealed one.... They accepted my 30 off 150 Omax coupon and I had a 10.00 giftcard I applied as well. Now All I have to do is send off the rebates and I got a nice 69.99 PDA!!!

Great Deal thanks!

Local OD has two in stock, but before I jumped on this I took a look at some reviews and they've been mixed. Some are reporting loss of all data unless the unit it kept charged, frequent crashes, and short battery life. I think I'll pass (don't really need it anyway :( )

I read the same reviews and figured I'd keep it for the price...but I am completely in love with this thing. In comparison to Toshiba's big dog, the e755, it is actually thinner and lighter (the e755 is a TANK!). The screen isn't as nice, and it doesn't have as much memory or Wi-Fi built in, but for $300 (e335's normal price) compared to $500 - $600 (e755) you can't beat the e335. Especially since you can add Wi-Fi later via SD I/O (if that is what you're looking for).

This is a steal at $90 or less after tax. If nothing else, use it as a universal remote - beats those Sony ones! :)

OK So I will spare all of you a long story and get to the point.....

Don't call your local OD and check for status on the stock of the e335. I called in and they said they didn't have any in stock and it was concidered a "Special Order" item. I decided to go down there anyway and lo and behold they had 3 left. I picked one up with a 30 off 150 Staples instore coupon. Very nice deal indeed.

THE LONG STORY:

PS. To elaborate on the long story, I had ordered 2 online (one for me and one for my wife). One showed up on my doorstep today..... some how the other one got canceled. How? Not sure, the status read "Customer Refused \ Canceled". Concidering the fact that I didn't refuse anything, I was a bit mad to say the least. Anyhow after talking to a CSR (no help at all) and then to an "Escalation" rep (once again no help at all). They both pretty much told me I was SOL since the product is no longer offered on their website. Anyhow I was mad so I decided to take a risk and go buy one instore (thats when I called my local OD). Anyhow like I mentioned above, I was rather disapointed to hear that they didn't have any in store. Since I promised my wife the PDA and I was looking forward to one of my own, I figure I would just go in and buy a Viesonic V35 (they have 2 $30 rebates and I had a 30 off 150 coupon). When I got there I saw a e335 still on display, and three claim slips left. I was like: "What the h...?" Anyhow gave the slip to a CSR expecting him to check and then come back with nothing and tell me that they didn't have any. But lo and behold out he walks with a box. Woo hoo! Save $200! Now to have some fun! Thanks!

I got mine too from the local store, I called first and they said they ain't got any, I stopped by anyway and they had the last one saved somewhere inside in the office and the manager ringed it for me. Sweet!! (Paid $ 282.XX - $ 200 in rebates = $ 82.xx)

Now here's something I noticed that I thought was unusual, on the back of the Pocket PC it is listed as a model number - e330, whereas everywhere else I mean on the box and on the back sticker and everywhere it says e335. In the manual and the quickstart guide it says PocketPC e330/335.

So what is the deal here? Can any of you guys list what is says on the back of your PPC, I hope i am not getting screwed here with an older model in a new box.

hmm.. mine is e335 on the back too... the only difference should be the PhotoBase software, but still weird...

Oh actually never mind, you were looking at the model number, yeah mine starts with a 330 too, but I woudn't be too suspicious at this, the only difference between the two is the included photo software.

Per Toshiba's website, part #pd330u-00001r is the e335. I have no idea why there are different model #'s on the back of the PDA. I only care if it gets the $100 rebate, which is does. Still trying to figure out how to use it! :)

I called the "go depot" number, and spoke with a lady who said she was going to have the warehouse send me a receipt, and also gave me a number to call to get someone else to send it.

that didn't work as easy as she implied it would, but it did work (would work better if I had fax..).

she said to call 800-937-3600 and get extention #7739, which would be sales audit research. unfortunately, they use 5 digit extensions, so I wound up with an operator, who sent me to sales audit research, who sent me to receipts retrieval I believe. awkward process, but receipt should go out in 24-48 hours, which ought to be enough time.

maybe I'll call back tomorrow and get them to fax one to my husband. fax isn't very original, though..

The e330 and the e335 are identical, so some may have the former number on back while others have the latter number on the back. The only thing different is the ArcSoft photo software that comes with the e335.
I purchased one 28 weeks ago for $399. Just called and got it pricematched 110% to where it is now, in addition to the rebates. I had 2 days left to pricematch [*wipes sweat off brow*]

Keep an eye out for an instore coupon that I could use from OM, Staples, or for OD. My credit card lured me to the dark side and I got one Anyway, we need a new coupon that we can use before May 14th.

Also, interestingly, I got a new $50 rebate printed out when I bought it today. This has a different rebate # on it than the OD $100 rebate, but they both get mailed to the same place. Any chance you can use them both? $250 in 3 rebates would rock!

There is no 100 rebate forms posted on the office depot site. The only rebate they have is 50 dollar rebate which is valid until june. I sure dont know if OD will honour new 100 Rebates or not.

Any thoughts will be appreciated. Also how do i get Staples match the OD price.

Yes there is a $100 OD rebate available here:

OD $100 Rebate expires 6/1/03

I just called the rebate center and they said they would only honor one or the other....not both. So your choice, $50 or $100 back....hmmmm, what to choose :)
