Taken from SD.

For those of you that missed the first ASUS deal. This is just as good rivaling the cheapest price these cards have ever been.

Newegg has the Powercolor HD 4850 PCI-Express Video Card for $185 - $25 Rebate - $15 Coupon (Code: VGA71415) = $145 with free shipping.

I am still waiting on a non rebate deal if it ever happens. I haven't had the best of luck with them. Been nearly 4 months and have lost hope on a $15 rebate.

$170 out the door ain't bad but I am looking for a $150ish deal.

i just ran through my old check stubs to update my win/loss stats as i sent out the new wave of rebates and i'm shocked - i've gotten back every rebate since the first of the year!!! 18 for 18!!!

would grab one of these, but i got an asus and a sapphire already...

4850 @ 680/1100 and 3ghz c2d makes vista crysis very high come in over 30 frames @ 1680!!! the barrier is broken!!!

Want to know how long a rebate can take? I got a soyo mobo from Newegg, oh, 3 or more years ago. It was free after two rebates. Never got a dime. Called, emailed. Never got a dime. A couple of years later I'm flipping through PC Magazine and see a class action suit against soyo. Looks like I wasn't the only one who got screwed. I still had all my paperwork (HA! Take that wife! My "filing" methods finally paid off), sent it in, and got my $70. So 3 or 4 years. Yikes. I'll never buy a SOYO product again, with or without rebate. But I still routinely do rebate deals (glutton for punishment)...

Soyo is BS, and as you said, that's why there was lawsuit. Another BS was Tigerdirect who also never paid rebate. They now pay every single rebate on time as they lost big $$ from lawsuit.

The other companies, however, are pretty good about rebate. PNY, EVGA, XFX, Antec, SimpleTech, OCZ and Powercolor have been the companies I dealt this year, and most of them paid me in 3 months with exception of PNY and OCZ. PNY was positive exception, who sent me a check in one (!) week. OCZ was negative exception, as they claimed I sent copy of UPC, not original. But it handled easily via OCZ Forum. One simple post did job.

This is a hoooot deal...sadly I'm not at home right now, and won't be for a bit more than over a week. I doubt this coupon code will last that long.

It's amazing that you could get two of these cards for $290. (which is what a lot of people probably did to kill it so quickly). This deal & the BB deal = $290 vs. $450-600 for the GTX 280. And a 4850 CF setup owns a GTX280... then you can overclock... heheheh
