Dead Power Supply?

I came home today and my computer wouldn't turn on. When I hit the power it does absolutely nothing. It worked fine this morning. If it isn't the power supply, what are some other possibilities? How can I determine if the power supply is dead or not?

You can take the powersupply out and test if it turns on by itself.

Shorting the green and black connectors on the ATX connection will give the PSU the "turn on" signal. If the internal PSU fan works then and if you plug in some case fans or something, you'll be able to tell if the PSU is completely dead or not.

Other possibilities could be a connection being disconnected, a bad motherboard, etc.
