Yes this seems like the best approach... Send the $85 rebate in ASAP.
Then send the $50 in later on.... as the $50 rebate must be postmarked by November 13th.

The website is out of stock for my area but they still have 3 at the local store, but they won't take the coupon code. They need the whole printed coupon. Can somone email me the whole coupon please.

The rebates also say not valid with any other promotions. Could the coupon invalidate the rebate?

I got double rebates on the envision monitor deal in Sept(by accident/their fault). I filed the wrong rebate online for 50.00. I tried to call Staples to get it changed to the 70.00 but I could not get anyone to help me in the rebate dept. (this was in Sept.) I mailed in the 70.00 rebate form and the next week I got both checks in the mail. 149.00-50.00-70.00=29.00

Both rebates printed out at the register AND the girl told me when I paid, that I would be getting two rebates. Also, if for some reason, they reject one, I 'll just tell them the truth, that I bought the monitor based on what I was told by the sales person, there are two rebates with the monitor. So, I am only doing what the STAPLE's employee told me.

Yeah, the cashier told me the same thing, that we get two. However then she asked the manager who was locking up and he said he didn't know, that other customers had asked him today and he just told them to go for it and see what happens.

BTW....in case one of you fellow AT'ers reserved the last one at the Coleman Ave San Jose CA store and didn't go pick it up tonight, sorry. I got there around 5:30pm and the manager said they were out, but he offered to order one from the warehouse and ship it to me. I told him the web site showed they were out of stock. Then he yelled over to another guy and asked if that guy had showed up yet. The other Staples guy said nope. Then the mgr offered to let me have one he was holding, since he figured the guy wasn't going to show. But I know how I'd feel if I was the one they were holding it for and they sold it to someone else so I said no, but I'll hang around until you're ready to close and if nobody shows I'll take you up on your offer. The other Staples guy said I should take it and run! Anyway, 5 mins to 6PM nobody had come in for it so they rang me up. Used the $30 off $150, used my Amex card which gives me something (5%?) on that purchase on my Amex statement and got the two rebates. Looks like it's gonna be pretty close to FREE if everything goes through.

Plus, it's actually got a pretty nice picture! I wasn't expecting much, knowing that Envision isn't exactly top end, but it's certainly worth every penny I paid.

I got in on this deal also. 2 rebates came out. The cashier said "cool you will get this for $10.00. The manager let me use the $30 of $150at the register because the computers said out of stock.
