I steal it from FW forum. Thanks Shnap51 from FW forum for the deal. I cut and pasted the post from FW forum.

From Staples Ad starting 10/13:

Now $164.98 - $85 Staples mail-in rebate = $79.98 #490583

$164.98
- 30.00 (30 off 150 coupon xxxxx)
- 85.00 Rebate
= 49.98

OR... possibly Make Money??

EDIT: Since the rebates overlap, and there are 2 upc's on the box, the following deal should be easy!

Right now, there's a $50 rebate. If next week's rebate allows for a purchase date this week, you could get:

$164.98 Purchase on 10/13
- 30.00 (30 off 150 coupon xxxxx)
- 50.00 Rebate (good til 10/13)
- 85.00 Rebate (starts 10/13)
= -0.02

In both cases, you should be getting Ebates or Fatcash, and Upromise kickbacks.

The deal is one day only.

Hard to say if it is worth it to try, or not. The current $50 rebate specifically says:

" Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions. "

Sounds like an easy one for them to reject.:(

Edit:
Yes, it is true you might get it for free. And yes, I have gotten deals like this myself.:)

I guess I'm just a little more skeptical lately, and I was extremely tired when I originally posted.
I'll try to be more optimistic.;)

That would depend upon the rebate addresses. If they go to the same place; you're screwed. If not, (and they were from different companies, ie Staples and Envision) they would probably never know. As always, YMMV.

I'm a little tired of seeing that disclaimer quoted every single time there's multiple rebates. It should just be assumed, and something should be said if that disclaimer ISN'T present.

As for these 2 rebates, same address handled by rebateshq, different departments.

The rebates go to the same address but different departments... This is very tempting....

Just ask for a couple copies of the receipt at the store. They usually are very receptive to giving you official register printed copies.

If we all lived in a perfect world, it could be assumed. Unfortunately, we do not and it bears repeating. Just don't read it, if it bugs you.
Bye!

My apologies for making it directed to this particular one, as you're right, it should be mentioned at least. I really meant seeing it repeated 10 times in the same thread from people who don't bother reading the previous posts. And then the chorus of a dozen further replies from people asking "you sure?" "You sure?" when YMMV has already been clarified.

Picked one up to give to my mother. The $50 rebate printed out with the receipt instead of the $85 dollor one fyi. Wife already has the En780. Both look identical in picture quality just the 780 does 1600x1200.

I'm looking for a monitor for my wife. Would this be a good deal? I was doing some in store shopping last night and nothing was close to this.

Just picked one up.. sweeet looking! The monitor is nice and flat ... Very nice picture quality.
I especially like the black and gray exterior case color too! Nice change from the boring beige of most monitors.

All in all.. the price was $145.00 w/tax (used the $30 off of $150)

As for rebates... the cashier printed out the $50 rebate.. not the $85.

My only question is... should we send both rebates?
what if they pay the $50 and not the $85?

I may just send in the $85 and be happy with a $60.00 monitor!

DUDES... i did this this morning... but took it a step further... i price matched microwarehouse (linky) for 149.99 . They didnt take shipping into consideration.. so it will be

150 (after PM and adding a cheap item to get there) - 30 coupon - 85 rebate - 50 rebate = -15

i also made $50 off of peachtree accounting by pricematching to acedemicsoftware deals (linky) and adding the free modem to make it go over 150.

145 (peachtree) + 20 (modem) - 30 coupon - 165 rebate - 20 rebate = -50

what a great way to make a living

Looks like both the $50 and $85 rebates go to the same address (P.O. Box 028513, Miami FL). Would they reject both if you sent both in or still allow one?

Webley... that is the big question!

The 2 rebates go to same address in Miami Fl .. but to different dept #s ... the $50 goes to dept. 02-49109 and the $85 goes to 02-50541.

My fear is that I send in both and they deny the $85 and pay the $50

The rebate forms do clearly state "offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions"

.....hmmmm

Be happy to get the monitor for $49.99 after rebate. Mail the $50 rebate in later, so the $85 gets approved first. If you don't get it, that's what you had expected and you're still happy with the deal. If you do get it, and it seems like a very good chance you will, think of it as a nice bonus. :)

Why dont you just send in the $85 rebate first, then right before the $50 rebate expires, send it in. That way the $85 will be processed and if they dont take the $50 you still get a great deal.
