DEAD: PNY 9600GT $151.99 at Microcenter No Rebates

Wow, that's pretty hot! I just bought a couple vid cards last night though. Gonna hold off on this. Besides, didn't need any of the cards. 😱
 
Damnit i payed 20 dollars more for a MSI 9600gt a few days ago. I don't think the bonus copy of "The Witcher" was worth that 🙁
 
Are PNY cards any good? I bought a lowely 7300gs to upgrade my parents pc a year and a half ago and it was a pos. Maybe it was just because it was a cheap card anyway though.

bleh. $11 sales tax for me in IL.

I've had a bad taste in my mouth about PNY products ever since they redefined 'lifetime warranty' as a product lifecycle warranty. Basically, on my 6800GT the box said Lifetime Warranty, but if you read closer, it says that when they stop making them, the warranty is over (but not before 1 year from purchase date).

All that being said, I did just purchase a PNY 8600GT in the BB deal (bigtime YMMV). I'll certainly register it (if I don't sell it) since I don't trust it as far as I can throw it. I'd much rather have a BFG or XFX since I understand that their warranties are fantastic. Just my 2 cents.
 
This card overclocks on the core about max 700, memory running no artifacts using ATI tool around 1100.

Of course I would not recommend running 1100 on the memory. Just testing!

They're pretty no frills as far as bundled items and average warranty. But I haven't had any issues with the cards themselves.
